I’ve had the chance to do some amazing collaborations with brands over the course of my blog, but one of my favourites has to be the giveaway I’ll be running with jewellery designer Mei-LiΒ Rose. She’s designed a completely unique jewellery item to give to me and one of my readers. We shared ideas and inspiration for the design, and settled upon something that really captured the essence of Girl in the Lens without being too literal and keeping to Mei-Li’s aesthetic of ‘bold and distinctive’, with lots of geometric shapes and hard angles. You can see the two final designs Mei-Li created below …
Like all Mei-Li Rose designs,Β the product will be handmade in London, using traditional methods of wax carving and hand piercing, and produced in sterling silver, rose gold or or yellow gold vermeil plating. Now, I’ll be receiving a ring version of the design, while one of you will be getting a pendant version, so you can wear it as a necklace or bracelet. We thought that we’d get you girls as involved as possible in the process, so this is what we want you to do:
– Have a look at the two designs above
– Tell me which you prefer in a comment below
– If you have an opinion on whether you’d like the pendant to be silver, rose-gold or yellow gold, do add that in
Then I’ll have a look through your comments and take on your ideas so we can create a pendant to giveaway that will be most popular with you all π I can’t wait to hear what you all think! x

Thanks Va π
I like the one on the right.. top layer silver, bottom rose gold.
X
Ooh nice idea to change the colour of the layers! x
I like the one on the left the best… in silver.
(love seeing sketches like this)
They’re gorgeous sketches aren’t they! x
I like the one on the left with rose gold as center, silver on the edges.
Thanks for dropping by my blog btw. Followed you on Bloglovin π
xx Daphne of http://daphnebenosa.com
Ooh I’m liking this mixed colour idea x
How exciting! I bet you can’t wait to get yours! π
I like the left one best too, I prefer the randomness of the shapes on the bottom layer instead of the symmetrical pattern like the one on the right has. I love gold & rose gold, so either would look beautiful, or a mixture of both!
I think the randomness of the shapes is nicer too π x
Wow! I lvoe the design – you’ve got some crazy awesome skills dear!
xx,
Maya
Not me Maya, Mei-Li the designer did them! x
Love these both! But my preferred design is the one on the left as I love the triangles that are visible through the top layer.
I agree, so gorgeous π
I love the second one, with a silver – I’m a massive silver fan.
Me too Sherin! x
I’m leaning more toward the pendant on the right…I like the center of it, seems more symmetrical and I think it would look gorgeous in gold.
Very classy.
XOXO
Very classy indeed Martha π
Prefer the left one with top layer yellow gold and bottom rose gold <3
Ooh lovely idea x
[…] motif to base the design around. Mei-Li then came up with a couple of gorgeous layered designs, and we asked you to choose your favourite from the two and suggest material ideas. The majority of you went for the design on the left, but […]
Love the design on the left…i always wear silver jewellery and love the idea of the second layer being rose gold!
It’s good that’s the design we settled on then! π
