dress: c/o Lulu’s, shoes: ALDO, socks: Marks and Spencer, ring: c/o Delilah Dust
Yes, I’m in the snow in the freezing cold in a tiny, backless dress. But when it was snowing the other day (April, Mother Nature – it’s APRIL) Callum and I couldn’t resist doing a creative photoshoot in his garden, and I’m delighted with the photos. It’s dreamy and fun and really showcases what an amazing photographer Callum is (and that I look silly when I jump). This dress from Lulu’sΒ was the perfect dress we needed for this shoot – something flirty and pretty and magical.
I’ve seen some nasty comments about fashion bloggers on the web recently. It’s sad, because the internet is a great place for individuals to express their creativity, but it also makes it easy for people to hide behind their laptops and write mean things, protected by the anonymity of the web. One of the things those people are saying is how fashion bloggers don’t actually wear what they shoot. For example, they’d look at this post and say no one would ever wear a dress and heels in the middle of a snowstorm. And they’re right – no one would. But I would certainly wear this outfit to a more suitable occasion, and this shoot was all about having fun and doing something different and creative.
Anyway, I hope you guys like these pictures are much as Callum and I do, and I assure you all – no little half-Chinese girls were harmed in the making of this shoot! π x

Oh my gosh this is just beautiful!! That dress is so cute!
I agree – I’m fed up of hateful comments. You’re an absolute knock out Natasha!
xx
Aw thank you Robyn!!! So happy you love the photos x
Oh my gosh this is so beautiful! That dress is amazing too x x x
Glad you love it Ellie!!! x
Awww, these pictures are beautiful! Your boy does have skills but it’s all about the model, obviously. π
Hehe Tara π x
This dress looks absolutely lovely against the snow, you must have been freezing though! The photos are beautiful x
Thank you Fern π and it wasn’t actually too cold! x
First of all, great shots! Love seeing snow in outfit posts mainly because it never snows where I am!
Secondly, I blog because I love it. I love fashion, I love writing and I love sharing my ideas with people that love those things too. My theory is if someone has a problem with that, it’s their problem not mine.
Life is too short not to throw on a pretty dress and jump around in the snow if we want too!

You are too right lovely girl!!! x
WOW these photos are incredible! I always think snow makes such a gorgeous back-drop for photos – even if it is meant to be Spring!
I’ve also seen people making nasty comments about how you wouldn’t wear certain outfits in the weather it is now – but like you said it’s really all about the creativity and producing gorgeous photos (something you’ve definitely done here!)
xx
Aw thank you Sam! π x
Amen to what you wrote! I agree! Great pictures! Love them!

Yay! So good to hear π
Really beautiful photos here, I love that dress!

Isn’t it gorgeous! x
Natasha, this is genuinely one of the most gorgeous outfit posts I think I’ve ever seen! Totally inspiring and fantastically beautiful – and that’s all that matters. Of course, fashion is about the creative, the crazy, the slightly ridiculous. Creating stunning shots like this is what it’s all about!
Julia xx
Oh thank you Julia, your comment has made my day!! x
Gorgeous! Love the whimsical feel of these photos π xx
Thanks Amy, that’s what we were going for!

These photos are just so gorgeous and enchanting, and that outfit with the socks! Absolutely lovely. I don’t think I could handle something like this – I’m really sensitive to the cold, get Raynaud’s syndrome in my hands – so I find it all the more impressive.
Oh I’m sorry to hear. It’s probably not wise even for a normal person really π but we weren’t out there for long and it wasn’t too cold as it wasn’t windy x
what bloggers do for photos! love the photos!
Glad you love them Toni!! Haha I know x
you must of been frozen!! was worth it though, these pictures are beautiful!
x
Thank you lovely π and it wasn’t too bad x
These images are gorgeous and you have done very well to outlast the cold! Don’t think I could hack it!

Thank you!!!
I’ve already said it earlier, but these are really spectacular! The whole set is so beautiful & magical, possibly one of my favourites of yours!
I’m really fed up with those types of comments too, luckily they are the minority though. I’d say 90% of the things I post are outfits I’m actually wearing that day (or would be if I was going anywhere!) but fashion is about being creative & making beautiful, inspiring looks & images too, so it’s nice to have shoots like this in the mix, it keeps things interesting. I don’t think fashion would be half as fun without that ‘fantasy’ element & images like this are what it’s all about! π
So true Steph! And I’d totally wear this look to a summer party π
this is seriously darling! cant image how you managed to stay warm xx

You must have been freezing but worth the effort as these photos are gorgeous. The dress is beautiful, definitely would look lovely worn for a more suitable occasion haha. So sad that there’s been a lot of negativity recently, I don’t understand why people bother saying anything negative!

i love the outcome, especially the colour against the snow. definitely a beautiful shoot but i can’t figure out why the reference to the little half chinese girls..
Oh – I’m a little half Chinese girl hehe! Sorry that comment must have looked strange out of context x
Oh no, was just a little curious, haha.. I had no idea you were half chinese or that would have clicked immediately! That’s so cute – the comment I mean – my boyfriend is half chinese too but no one can tell! π
So is mine! But people think he’s Italian. I get people knowing I’m mixed but not being able to figure out what the mix is. I like being mysterious hehe π
It looks like your pain was worth it- the photos are beautiful! The back of that dress is fantastic.

It does! Though so do fields in the summer π

This shoot came out great! Those same people say the same things about editorial shoots in magazines. They have always been saying things like that. Limited imagination.

Thank you Mel!! x
All the hateful comments just mean that fashion bloggers are making their mark on the world! π That’s why people want to attack it. I personally wouldn’t be able to take pictures in what you’re wearing in the cold. I’m so used to 90 degree weather! Haha! I think it’s awesome that you’re willing to take pictures in the cold! It’s that kind of dedication that people should talk about and appreciate. π
Thank you Trinnah, lovely comment π
I had seen this post a while ago but I didn’t comment then. Don’t know why because I absolutely love it! From the dress to the snowfall to the message behind it. You’re such an inspiration! Maya – Archistas
Aw thank you so much Maya, that means a lot to me x
