DIY kit (including dress) c/o Boohoo
Hi girls! So as we gear up to festival season here in the UK, one of my favourite online brands Boohoo have come up with a fun competition to get us all DIYing our key festival items. After all, it’s so much nicer to wear an item that you know is totally unique and your own, and plus – DIY is just downright fun. Even though I am super clumsy with things like this, I really enjoyed putting together my customised maxi! Barely a glue-related disaster in sight …
What do you think of my item? I love it! With gemstones and glitter paints, there were so many options for customising the dress, but in the end I went with studs as I wanted something that didn’t look tooΒ home-made. If you want to have a go, check out the Boohoo blog for loads of DIY tips and ideas, and once you’ve made your piece, don’t forget to enter their competition to win festival tickets here. Have fun! x

Great DIY! I’m a stud girl myself, (just slightly obsessed!), so I would’ve gone that way too. Looks rad!
Thanks girl!! x
Natasha that’s a brilliant idea. I prefer the gemstones version, but still having the opportunity to do such a unique item, is fascinating!

That’s the beauty – you can do whatever suits you best! I might use the gemstones on something else π x

This is such an easy and creative DIY! I love how you turned such a simple, plain dress into something trendy π Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Louise! x
I like it with the studs a lot better than the gems and yeah it doesn’t look too DIY-ed.

Thanks Ivy, that was the aim π x
what a lovely idea and i love the results π definitely prefer the more subtle studs but i can see how you can go a bit crazy with the rest!
I love the less is more approach with this dress – the studs are more subtle but I can understand how it would be easy to be led astray with all the other bits. You look lovely in this kind of dress – totally suits your style and shape.
Aw thanks Sue! I feel a bit self-conscious in it as it’s so bodycon, but I’m sure I’ll get used to it π
Love this idea and it turned out looking fab. You look stunning doll. Also if you have a min id love to hear your thoughts on my latest outfit post
