#WOWJarlo | Siobhan Lace Maxi Dress

Dress number two of the #WOWJarlo styling challenge is this gorgeous lace maxi. When I received it, I knew straight away I wanted to try something more vintage and classic than my usual style, just because it’s such an elegant dress, so I kept my make up natural (aka I didn’t wear any) and my hair simple, adding a boho touch with the flower band. I think this dress would be perfect for a vintage girl’s wedding (it comes in a gorgeous cream colour too) – wearing it truly does make you feel like something special. Photographing this dress in our usual street locations didn’t feel right, so Callum and I headed into the fields near my house for a soft, bohemian shoot in the lowering evening sun. Ah, summer sunsets …

What do you think of the look? This dress isn’t my usual style, as I’m not really one for vintage-inspired pieces, but I still fell in love with it. I think next time I’ll wear my hair down though – I’m not very good at hairdos, as you can see here! I only really know how to do my usual high pony or just leave it loose and messy. Links to good hairstyle tutorials would be much appreciated! x

Did everyone have a great weekend? I had such a great one – chilling out with friends, consuming copious amounts of ice cream and Pimms, and of course, watching the tennis! What a great game, and huge congrats to Andy Murray. I honestly didn’t think he was going to do it, let alone in three straight sets! It was definitely a proud moment for everyone here in the UK. Now, on to the fashion … 😉

Sometimes you’ve just got to take it back to basics. There’s something so chic and sexy about a crisp white shirt and black shorts – it’s a little play on work/office gear, but works great dressed up for the evening with some statement heels and a colour block clutch. These scalloped hem shorts from ASOS have to be one of my favourite recent purchases. As you know, I’m all for an easy piece that’s versatile enough to throw on with anything. Since the weather has improved (could we actually be having a summer now?) I’ve been wearing it under long white tees or with little pretty camis tucked in. I do love how well it works for the evening though with a pair of heels. The scalloped hem does something to your legs to make them look amazing!

P.S. Did you see my day look with these amazing silver heels I did for the Call it Spring style challenge? Which do you prefer? I like both outfits, though to be honest I’d wear this evening style more since I’m not usually out and about in such high stilettos during the day! x

Wimbledon Whites

Wimbledon inspired all white summer outfit

All items sourced via Shopcade

There’s a huge Wimbledon final tomorrow with the UK’s own Andy Murray fighting a second time for his chance at the title. So what does a fashion blogger do? Create a tennis-inspired outfit, of course! Tennis has to be one of the trendiest sports around, and I love the sports luxe look anyway, so this was a really fun little outfit for me to put together. There’s something just so fresh and lovely about an all-white summer outfit, and plus, it’s always great to have basics like this in your wardrobe. A skirt like this Topshop quilted beauty is super easy to style with just about anything, and you’ll never go wrong with a little white bag like this ASOS one (just £21 in the sale!). Just be careful when lounging around outside in the sun in case of grass-stains!

Hope you all have a beautiful weekend – and may the best man win tomorrow! x

#WOWJarlo | Allondra Assymetrical Dip Hem Dress

Backless dipped hem pastel blue dressAsymmetric dipped hem summer dressJarlo London Allondra dress UK fashion bloggersAnkle strap white nude heels Zara copy

dress: c/o Jarlo London, shoes: c/o She Likes, necklace: Topshop

This week saw the start of the #WOWJarlo campaign, where six bloggers (including myself!) have to style the same three dresses in their own individual ways. The Allondra is this week’s dress, and what a beauty she is. I love how this dress is such a plain canvas, so you can style it up in different ways depending on the occasion, but is still full of interesting details – the cut out back, the dipped hem. It’s all so gorgeous! As I’m not into super super girly, I gave the dress a kick of neon with my Topshop collar necklace, but still kept it classy with elegant ankle-strap kitten heels. The colour of this dress makes it perfect for summer weddings and parties.

I’ll make sure to post all the girls’ outfits here at the end of the week once they’re all up so you can get more ideas for styling this dress. And let me know in the comments how you’d wear this little beauty! x

Silver Heels | Day Outfit

When Call it Spring challenged me to come up with a day and night look for their insanely hot silver Schapp stilettos, my first thought was – um, stilettos for daytime? Not sure about that. (Actually, my first thought was, silver shoes? Gimme!) But always up for a challenge, and especially one that lets me experiment with clothes, I came up with this little outfit. And you know what? It was surprisingly easy! Turns out that silver heels are far more versatile than you might initially think. Throw them on with a pair of jeans and a tee and you get a daytime look that is still super chic. Perfect!

Of course I wouldn’t recommend walking about in these heels all day. Not only will you get a bazillion honks from men enjoying how great your legs and bum look because of them, but your feet will probably be a bit sore at the end of the day. That being said, the Call it Spring Schapps are actually super comfy and easy to walk in. I don’t blame you if you don’t believe me – when I first looked at them, I was like, no way am I going to even be able to stand in these. But I was pretty happy to be proven wrong! Don’t forget to check back on the blog in a few days as I’ll be posting my night outfit with my Schapps. x
