coat: c/o Republic, trousers: c/o Republic, bag: c/o L. K. Bennett, shoes: SixtySeven
I’ve found the perfect winter coat. I love coats, and have quite a few to my name now, but this burgundy one from Republic is just possibly my favourite out of the lot. When you’re wearing an all-black outfit, the pop of dark red just adds some much needed colour, and the scalloped detail down the front is so pretty. What you don’t see is that this coat is also lined with some fluffy material on the inside that makes it oh so warm and cosy for those harsh winter days. My mum has been very sneaky lately and keeps stealing it for herself to use, but who can blame her!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend ๐ I’ve finally started getting over my cold/flu and ventured outside today for the first time. Back to work and writing next week x

14th December, 2012 Here are a few things that arrived in my post over the last week. I got a surprise Christmas box from Ladbrokesย to celebrate the launch of their Christmas slot games, and a Christmas gift set from Pandora.
Ladbrokes Christmas blogger gift box
There were lots of lovely little things in this box from Ladbrokes. I particularly appreciate the Grazia subscription – one of my favourite magazines for affordable styles and a bit of cheeky gossip too – and the ‘How to be Adored’ book by Caroline Cox. It’s a beautiful book with plenty of vintage style inspiration and tasty fashion and beauty tidbits from icons such as Katherine Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and the Sex and the City girls. It would be a great present for a girl who loves her vintage.
Pandora Christmas gift set
ย This bracelet charm set from Pandora is just the cutest! I love that it’s perfect for Christmas, with the stocking charm in the middle, but because of the silver colour and small size, you can definitely wear it all year round too. Pandora charms are great as you can wear them in a variety of ways. I’ve worn these charms as a bracelet, as well as on a necklace along with other charms. The versatility of these pieces definitely makes them worth the investment.
What do you think of my pretty new things? x

top: H&M, jeans: Topshop, shoes: Kurt Geiger, hat: vintage
Sometimes all you need are a pair of jeans and a white tee. Throw in a baseball cap and trainers and it’s the classic All American Outfit. I have to admit – I’ve gone off blue jeans somewhat. There are just so many interesting alternatives now! Printed trousers, coloured jeans, black skinnies, leather-look leggings – and that’s before we’ve even mentioned skirts and shorts. But every now and then I revert back to my old favourite of blue jeans and a white tee, and wonder why it’s taken me so long …
P.S. In case you’re all wondering why I’m flouncing around outside in a t shirt and the trees are all lush and green – these photos were taken back in summer! I’ve got a couple of outfits that I realised I never posted, so I’m getting them up now while I’ve been too ill to take any new outfits.

12th December, 2012 So after all those gift list posts, I thought it’d be nice to do a little online browsing to see what I’d like for Christmas ๐ let’s hope Santa’s listening! Hehe. I’ve picked items from my favourite place to shop in London – Westfield. It reminds me so much of the shopping centres back in Malaysia, which is my second home. They’re these gigantic places with whole floors dedicated to food stalls and restaurants, and have rock climbing walls, skate parks, cinemas and all sorts of things as well as clothes stores. Westfield’s the only place near me in the UK that is like that, and I find it so easy to lose a whole day there (as well as a whole load of money!). It’s a fantastic place for Christmas shopping too as there are so many great shops, and if you’re struggling to think what to get someone, there’s always a Westfield gift card, which will let them choose where they want to spend their voucher!
From clockwise: River Island pyjamas / Calvin Klein Underwear bra / Accessorize satchel / River Island boyfriend jeans / Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray / ALDO flats / Hollister jumper / MAC nail polish / Links of London braceletย
All items sourced via Westfield London and Westfield Stratford
I always love getting pyjamas as a Christmas present, as I never buy them myself, but a cute set is such a pleasure to wear! This dog-print one from River Island is a must for dog lovers. I’m also in love with this red bra from Calvin Klein – a beautiful colour and what pretty lace detailing. If I was going to buy any one item from this list though, it’d probably be the amazing boyfriend jeans from River Island. I have been searching for the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans for aaaaaaages – literally years – and I think I’ve finally found them! I love the pale colour and distressing on this pair. I might not be able to wait for Santa on this one …
What’s on your Christmas wishlist lovelies? x

jumper: Topshop, shorts: c/o Rare, shoes: Zara, necklace: Accessorize
This is either a bit of casual, relaxed party outfit, or a slightly glammed up day look! Haven’t quite decided which it suits more. I just love an oversized jumper teamed with little shorts, but these are the glitziest shorts I own! The only problem I’ve found with them is that sitting is a nightmare – they catch to fabrics really easily – so I’ve been wearing them to events where I know I’ll be standing most of the time. They also look great with a large sheer shirt half tucked in.
Sorry it’s been a bit quiet on my social accounts lately – I’ve been down with this awful cold/flu thing for a week now. Argh! Hope it goes away soon so normal blogging, work, writing and life in general can resume!
