(UN)MELLOW YELLOW
dress: c/o Boohoo | coat: Sisley | heels: New Look | socks: Dorothy Perkins
What do you do when it’s grey and cold out, and you’ve forgotten what it feels like to have the sun on your skin and warmth in your veins? You put on the brightest yellow dress you can find, of course, and to hell with season-appropriateness. I think I blinded half the city walking around town in this dress, but hopefully it brought a little sunshine into their lives!
The dress is one of Boohoo’s new season key pieces with it’s on-trend drop waist shape. It’s a shape a lot of girls seem to be scared of, and I’d like to go on the record to say – don’t be! The drop waist is great for so many body shapes. It adds length to your figure, especially when teemed with heels, and is super playful and youthful. If you’re still a Β bit scared, just add a boxy coat over the top like I’ve done here to really streamlines the whole look. I’m sure you’ll look rocking!

It’s full of great ideas on how to incorporate the new season styles into your wardrobe. Thanks for the advice! I’ve always been scared of drop waist dresses, but maybe I’ll give it a try. π
