BAFTA BEAUTY WITH HOUSE OF FRASER
Getting ready for a red carpet is a pretty daunting experience! I’ve been lucky enough to a few film premieres at Leicester Square, but this year’s BAFTA TV ceremony was in a league of it’s own, with celebrities from JT to Tommy Hiddles attending the Southbank’s Royal Festival Hall venue, so the pressure was on to be on top form! Secret: I’m actually super low maintenance (and low in skill) when it comes to beauty. I have a small cosmetics bag with a few essentials I use on repeat – that’s on days where I actually make the effort to make up! But it’s always exciting to get glammed up for an event like this, and with a personalised beauty goodybag from Lancome and House of Fraser I had an easy time coming up with this super simple, low-key summer glam look.
I was thoroughly spoilt dress-wise too thanks to the lovely girls at The Dressing Room in St Albans. I had a little trying on session the morning of the ceremony and fell head over heels for this dress from new London designer Rixo London. The handpainted floral print and silky flow of the dress was just perfect for floating down the red carpet (or rather, walking rather stickily, given the summer heat)!
Though I didn’t get to meet Hiddles, it was such a fun evening, and I’ve got my summer tv playlist down! A big thank you to House of Fraser to having me and the uber talented Jay McLaughlin for taking these gorgeous photos!

TIMEX WEEKENDER
Southbank has pretty much been my jam these past few weeks, so it was super fun to get to spend a whirlwind couple of days exploring the area with the Timex crew. In the spirit of their new Weekender watches, which have easily changeable straps and bold patterns and bright colours to get you in the weekend mood, we were treated to a lovely brunch at the Mondrain before setting out to taste our way around nearby Borough Market, then danced our way to a party at Shoreditch House (and by danced I mean sat in an Uber in rush hour traffic for half an hour). It was so nice to catch up with blogger cuties Andreea, Jacky and Alice, especially over a quiet spa trip the next morning. Food + party + spa = weekend perfection.
Hope you have some of your own weekend perfection this Saturday and Sunday my loves! x

MYLA AND DAVIS SALON REVIEW
You guys know how low maintenance I am when it comes to my hair. I’m lucky if I even get *one* cut in a year! But when it comes to my hair being cut, there are only a few salons I trust to look after it, and Myla and Davis are one of them. After getting thirteen inches chopped off in October 2014 by Vicky at the Herne Hill location, I popped along to their latest salon in Brixton. The lovely Jess was handling my hair this time, and after a consultation (you know you’re in safe hands when your stylist asks about your lifestyle and how you usually look after and style your hair) she got to work …
And here’s the finished product! Well, not *quite* finished – Jess has since given me a little colour update too, so head to my Instagram to check it out, and I’ll be rocking it in my next post too of course. We went for a subtle balayage effect, with lighter brown and blonde tones woven through the ends for a sun-kissed look to take me into summer. I love how thick and full my hair is all of a sudden! I always find that when I go shorter, because you seem to think you’ll be losing volume as well as length, when actually a lighter body gives your hair more oomph and flounce! Jess styled my shorter locks with Bumble and Bumble products for a tousled, boho vibe to go with my American Eagle Outfitters dress (worn as top), Paige Denim jeans from Trilogy, and Reiss boots.
I love my new lob! If you’re looking for a hair transformation, or just a trim and refresh, make sure to pop down to Myla and Davis in one of their three London locations – Herne Hill, East Dulwich and Brixton! Your hair will thank you for it! x

GREYSCALE
Leggings – when did they become acceptable as an everyday fashion choice? I remember when they were becoming popular again and I vowed I’d never wear them out of the house. VPL! More tights than trousers! I love jeans too much! Every fashion magazine was lamenting their returning. And now most days I’ll be found wearing a pair, whether it’s for a super casual look with sneakers and a crop, or a slightly cooler look like this one with a luxe knit and heeled booties. The lure of the leggings is just too much. They’re comfy, easy, and the right pair can make your legs look super sleek – like my ones from Boohoo (can’t believe they’re just £8!).
Anyway, since this is our first post of 2016 let me wish you all the most wonderful year! I’ve had an exciting start already, with lots of writing news and promising ventures, a little seaside break, and my 26th birthday! And though I’m still recovering from a nasty flu I must say it was a pretty good January. Bring on Feb!
PS. We shot these photos at the rooftop garden of our friends’ flat in Victoria! How amazing is this view?!
