dress: Rare via ASOS, shoes: Zara, bag: vintage
Justifying spending £36 on a dress isn’t hard when it’s one as beautiful as this! This Rare skater dress is just so beautiful, and has so many details I love – a skater skirt, it’s backless, it’s red – so I had to get it when I saw it. I’m surprised that the gold chain detail at the back doesn’t look tacky or cheap at all, it’s actually really elegant, but all the same I toned down the ‘glamness’ of the dress with my quirky vintage triangle bag and thick ankle strap heels. This dress and these heels are possibly my two favourite recent purchases. You’re probably going to get sick of seeing the heels in outfit posts! But they’re just so cool and they go with absolutely everything.

Me too 🙂 x
That does not look like a £36 dress on you – it looks a lot more. So classy x
Thank you Naheeda! I think it looks expensive too 🙂 x
Ummm perfect everything! The dress, the shoes (and no I will never tire seeing them!), the bag, the hair… I could go on! There’s kind of a flirty innocence in this dress from the front then when you turn round it b**** slaps the s*** out of you with it’s rock n’ roll awesomness!
Have a lovely day!

this dress looks absolutely perfect on you! and you’re right, the gold chains on the back don’t look cheap although it could very well have. besides the design, I also think it’s because of the way you wear it- that makes the dress look very elegant and classy 🙂
Thank you Izzy 🙂 the Zara heels are perfect for adding a bit of cool elegance x

Gorgeous dress! I’ve been looking for a long time for a perfect red dress, and this one is so.. ah, no words! Love, love, love! Just a question, how do you wear a bra with this? Do you use those stick-on pads or whatever they’re called, or do you wear no bra? I always feel so uncomfortable when I’m not wearing one! x

[…] Topshop. I’ve topped it all off with these Zara cuff heels (which I’ve featured in an outfit post before) as they are the comfiest things ever whilst still looking smart and sexy, and they literally go […]
Hi! I was just about to buy this from Asos now, but I cant decide between the black and the red! Is the red really “true red”, or more thin, burgundy-red-pink-ish?
You look absolutely amazing in this, though! So jealous! I’m not used to US sizes, but I use 36 in EU, and small, so do you think that’s equivalent Asos size 8?
Christine
Yes I think you’d be an 8 🙂 the red is definitely a bright red. It has a tough of pink to it but it’s not burgundy at all x
