Ok, so I’ve already done one of these posts today but one of my favourite bloggers, Erika of Fashion Chalet, has just announced her latest giveaway and it’s insane. Yes, ladies and gents, she’ll be giving one lucky reader nothing else than a pair of THESE BEAUTIES. I’ve lusted after Alexander Wang bags shoes for years, so the chance to own a pair is too good to miss. These boots would really complete my summer wardrobe, as they’re the perfect mix of utility and fashionable details to complete all summer outfits. And of course they’d be equally great in winter with tights or socks and leather trousers. Aren’t they perfect?

I really don’t want to tell you how to enter Erika’s amazing giveaway so I have better odds of winning them, but that wouldnt’ be fair now would it? So just head over to Erika’s blog post and read all about how you can get your hands on these beauties.

I Want it Wednesday – Coloured Lips

Coloured Lips

Bright Lipsticks, Lip Tints and Lip Glosses

1: Bare Minerals Pretty Amazing Lip Colour

2: Models Own Lipstick

3: Dior Serum de Rouge

4: Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss

5: Benefit Benetint

6: Bobbi Brown Neon and Nudes Lip Colour

I’m really inspired by coloured lips at the moment. They’re a perfect Spring accessory and won’t cost you a fortune, so they’re a cheap, easy way to add variety to your wardrobe. For just a tint of colour, Benefit’s lip stain is perfect and won’t get all over your cups/boyfriend’s lips. For colour and gloss, I’d recommend Illamasqua’s amazing Intense Lipgloss range – Mistress is my favourite colour, a really zingy orangey red.For full out colour, it has to be lipstick. Bare Minerals’ Pretty Amazing Lip Colour will give your lips an amazing glazed look, and the applicator is great for precision. Also worth a try are Dior’s Serum de Rouge lipstick – Petal is a lovely romantic soft pink, and will moisturise your lips while it’s on – and for a cheaper option, Models Own Lipstick, which is surprisingly good value for money. But my favourite of all has to be Bobbi Brown’s Neon and Nudes Lip Colour range. The Neon Pink is a high gloss, high colour lipstick that’ll be all you need for Springtime perfection.

Are coloured lips one of the top accessories you’re going to be rocking this Spring?

I was really excited when Next asked me to be a part of their style challenge, pitting 10 British bloggers against 10 of Aussie’s finest to style one Next item in a way that best represents their own style and their national heritage. It’s not something I really stop and think about when putting together an outfit, but British style definitely influences the way I dress. When I think about modern British style icons – Alexa Chung, Kate Moss, Sienna Miller – I always think of a cool, grungy vibe with a streak of girly preppiness. For me, that’s British style, and it’s a style I’m proud to share.

The Next piece I picked was this really versatile zip shirt. I loved its oversized shape and zip detail, and thought it was a great piece to work a British style outfit around, especially with the popularity of the back-to-school trend. I tucked the shirt into faux leather shorts for a twist on a classic school outfit and to give a smart, preppy silhouette. The socks and sandals combination also reminds me of school for some reason, and I love the metallic material of the socks against the canvas heels. For some colour and structure, I finished the outfit with added a mustard yellow Topshop blazer I scored in the January sales for £20. To make sure the whole outfit wasn’t too preppy and keep that British edge, I finished the whole thing off with messy hair, a mix of bracelets and bright blue nails with cool pirate-themed tattoos.

I Want it Wednesday – Metallic Trainers

Metallic Trainers/Sneakers

(from left to right)

1. Giuseppe Zanotti Metallic Trainer

2. Jimmy Choo Miami Low Top Trainer

3. Kurt Geiger Laura Leather Trainer

Or sfor those of you across the pond. I’ve been longing for some statement metallic pieces but it’s difficult to find ones that work well into my existing wardrobe, and don’t look cheap. So I’ve found the solution – metallic trainers. These are cute, easy pieces that will look great with a range of outfits – jeans, cute dresses, shorts and a tee. My favourite is probably the gold Kurt Geiger high-tops – they’re affordable and versatile, and I love the strap detail.

How awesome is this purpled out lookbook from UNIF? It’s so dreamy and cool, and gives a really boho, spaced-out vibe to their already easy-going, rocker style. Loving all the distressed denim and prints.
