I’m so in love with Callum’s photos for this outfit, and I’m delighted that they do justice to what has to be one of the most stunning dresses now residing in my wardrobe. I’ve been a fan of Dahlia for a long, long time, with their quirky vintage-inspired pieces and beautiful fabric choices, so I was very excited about receiving their Sophia dress to photograph. I adore the textured jacquard fabric and the bow-back, which elevate this from your standard LBD, and it’s demure but sexy at the same time. Perfect. As always, I went for playful accessories to add a touch of my personality to the look – this ASOS OMG clutch is just the most fun little bag ever. I love how the splots clashe with the hounds-tooth foil nails I got done at the Boohoo press day last week – mixed prints ftw! x Like this post? coat: ASOS, jumper: ASOS, shorts: Mango, socks: ASOS, boots: c/o Ilse Jacobsen When I was sent these gorgeous Ilse Jacobsen rainboots, I knew I wanted to shoot them as part of a summer music festival outfit. Not the sexy American summer festival type (eg. Coachella), all glorious sun and desert and teeny tiny outfits, but the Great British Summer type (eg. Glastonbury, Reading), where the one thing we can count on is Mother Nature having her joke and showering us with rain. Though rain in summer can be a bit glum, there’s no reason not to use the opportunity to dress cute and have some fun with it! All you need are some sturdy and cute wellies and a bright, super playful mac like this ASOS one for an instant perk me up. I think the heat must have muddled my mind a little, because this outfit is a bit of a mix up of different styles – preppy blazer, festival-style flower crown and crotchet pieces, urban chunky heels – but I think it works. Do you? All I know is that it felt like the right thing to wear, and sometimes you just gotta forget trends or what fashion says and just go with your instincts! This beautiful blazer from Laura Ashley (on sale now!) has been one of my most-worn pieces since it arrived a couple of weeks ago. I love the subtle polka dot print, and the silky feel is so light and perfect for summer. I’m also loving this double white crotchet lace combo with the shorts and top. Nothing screams summer more than white crotchet lace, so with this outfit I’m practically bellowing!
