shirt: Topshop, skirt: c/o Hedonia, shoes: Zara
This denim shirt is one of the most featured items on the blog, and for good reason – it’s a chameleon. It can go with any outfit, for any look. Usually I wear it very casual or sex it up with a splash of leather, but here I wanted a smarter look for a business meeting that still had a casual edge, so I teamed it with a crisp, structured white skirt and ankle strap heels. Outfits like this are great for making you feel a bit older and therefore more business-like when you have an important meeting. And, when I came home, I just switched the skirt for skinny leather trousers and I’m back to my 22-year old casual self!

top: c/o Very, skirt: Topshop, belt: market, shoes: Converse
I’ve never been a huge fan of Fearne Cotton’s style – a little too girly and eclectic for me. But I have to admit, I do like her new clothing line with Very. There are some really standout pieces like the embellished shirt I’m wearing here, which is great as it can be worn pretty much anywhere – the office, a date, or just casual like I styled it. I was a bit cheeky and cut out the slip inside, as I like the sheer style, and I think it looks more elegant this way without seeing a strap top underneath.
I hope everyone’s had a great week and, like me, are looking forward to the weekend. Just a few hours to go! x

26th September, 2012 It’s that time of year again where I pack away all my pretty summer shoes and go on the hunt for new boots for the coming winter. It’s a fun time – boots are probably my favourite style of shoes, and I love looking for ones to add to my collection – but it can be a bit costly. Plus, boots have to be comfortable to trek around in all day, so it’s tough putting aside all the pretty high-heeled ones and finding pairs that are both cool and comfy. Here are a few I’ve managed to find that’ll go with all this season’s biggest trends, as well as being super practical.

1. Pied a Terre Synders Low Boot / 2. KG Shyla Boots / 3. Paul Green Poppy Boots
4. Steve Madden Banddit Biker Boot / 5. Bertie Neras Glitter Boot / 6. KG Twiggy Boots
I find I always gravitate towards ankle boots – the length and cut is just so flattering, and I like to wear them in the summer too – but possibly my favourite boots from this selection are the longer-length Steve Maddens. They’re probably the most versatile boot for winter-summer wear, and with a very small block heel they’ll be great for everyday use. I’d save the sparkly Bertie boots for night-time, the bright red KGs for a Miranda Kerr-style daytime outfit with jeans, and the purpose Pied a Terre boots are great for the office. All boots can be found in House of Fraser stores and online.
Which boots are on your winter wishlist? x

dress: c/o LOVE, shoes: Nelly, necklace: Free People
Apologies for my tan line in these pictures – it’s been so grey and miserable that I’d forgotten I even had a tan! Like all LOVE dresses, this one fits like a dream and looks amazing. I’ve dolled it up a little in these pictures as I was going on a date and wanted something a bit more evening-wear, but with the casual hair and necklace it’s not too dressed up, and this dress would work equally well for a daytime look with boots and an oversized jumper. Hope you girls are having a good week so far and stay tuned for tomorrow’s post, I should have some amazing news to share with you all … x

lingerie set: c/o Playful Promises
These undies from Playful Promises is just so beautiful. The colour is delicious – I really want to wear a low white or grey tank with the bright blue lace of the bra peeking out. I don’t know about you girls, but colour is so important to me when choosing underwear – just like clothes. Bright colours can really give you a boost of confidence, and it’s fun to mix and match different colours. Sorry I can’t show you just how gorgeous this lingerie set is on. I’d love to try a subtle lingerie photoshoot on the blog like Kayture did recently (how gorgeous is she!) but I’m not sure I can pull it off …
