I Want it Wednesday – Mixed Up Prints

Topshop Printed Tops

Mixed Prints Outfits

1: Topshop Aztec Latino Suntop

2: Topshop Animal Border Vest

3: Topshop Bright Animal Cami

Outfits: see here for details of each item

Loving the whole Aztec/Navajo themes going on for SS12, especially the creative prints that we’re seeing as a result. It’s a bit brash, and a bit of an eye-ache, but it’s cool and fun and young. Mixing up prints is going to be big, so don’t be afraid, just play around with your prints and see what works for you. I’ve picked three great printed tees from Topshop to get started with (cause as usual they’re bang on trend and affordable)  and then made a print-crazy outfit with each – give it a go!

More pictures that are inspiring me. Loving rough textures and casual, boyish sexiness at the moment (well, always really).

Checked Shirt and Paisley Culottes

shirt: Topshop, culottes: ASOS, cuff: ASOS, earrings: a present

This shirt is one of my go-tos for easy wearing, so I wanted to mix it up a bit. Instead of pairing it with trousers or leather shorts as I usually do I tried it with these cute paisley culottes. I’m really happy with the mix of patterns, and the shirt tones down the girliness of the paisley print. This outfit is a bit skimpy to wear out at the moment though. Can’t believe how cold it is! I’m counting down the days till summer 🙂

I Want it Wednesday – Cute Enough to Eat

Lacoste Mid L!VE range - pastel trainers

If my mint jeans outfit last week hadn’t tipped you off, I’m a total sucker for pastels. Plus, if Chuck Bass says it’s right, who’s to argue? So I’m loving that this SS candy-coloured everything is huge. First on my pastel necessities list are Lacoste’s ice cream toned trainers – amazing for dressing down a winter outfit while it’s still cold out and then wearing with tiny shorts and fringed tees in summer. The yellow ones are my current favourite. If the sun ever decides to show it’s face again here in the UK then they’ll also look amazing with a tan.

Republic Pink Ombre Jeans

Then we have these amazing pink ombre jeans from Republic. I’ve been wanting faded pink jeans for ages but I love the ombre effect on these, it’s quirky and would look so good with oversized tees and colourful wedges.

Topshop Pastel Mint Green Bag

And finally I had to share this pale, mint green bag from Topshop. Cute as a button and perfect for hazy summer days swanning around a park in tiny denim cut offs, a crop top and strappy sandals.
