I’m really liking River Island’s shoe offerings at the moment. They are timelss shapes and styles that will work across seasons. I’d wear these gorgeous glitter peep toe wedges with a little dress and no accessories – I’d want all the attention on the shoes. As for the ankle boots, well, a girl can never have too many ankle boots. Effortlessly cool and great with most outfits, they are one of my favourite shoe styles. These beauties are too gorgeous. I love the deep, green-blue colour and woven detailing. They come in brown and black too but those colours seem too flat and boring compared to these ones. And last but not least, the black ankle cuff sandals. Elegant in shape and colour, but with a little bit of cool thrown in with the cuff. These would look awesome with a leather minidress.
Well I’ll hold my hands up right now and say I’m really not a Beyonce sort of woman. I just don’t have that swagger, that too-sexy curvaceousness, that24/7 glamour that she projects. So I definitely was not expecting the new collection from House of Dereon, her clothing line made in collaboration with mum Tina Knowles, to be my sort of thing. Having now launched at Selfridges, I can now safely say that I was right. It’s really not my sort of thing. A lot of shimmery snakeprints and zipped hoody pieces, it’s pretty bold and bootilicious. However, a few of the pieces (featured above) are pretty cool and I’m already imagining how I’d work them into my own style. Suede high-waisted shorts? Yes please. Patterned leggings? Yes please. However, these are definitely nothing new or that original, so whether I’ll be popping out a few more pounds for something I could find on the high street is another question. If you could have any celebrity design a clothing line, who would it be? I’m thinking Miranda Kerr or Blake Lively (as long as the latter has some sort of clevage-barometer in place. Yes we know you have great boobs, they look just as nice tucked away!)
So obsessed with Urban Outfitters right now. So much so that I dare not enter those glass doors for fear of eternal poverty. But I did get this gorgeous suede bag after deliberating which one to get in an earlier blog post. Bit worried about colour transfer though (hence the tags are still on) so just got to check that with them first. These jeans are Levi’s new Curve ID range that are made to fit three types of body shape. I was a little worried at first as they feel so tight when they go on but then I realised it was only because all my other jeans don’t fit properly! Ps. Apologies for looking so tired and for taking pics indoors lately. I was ill last week and I’m still feeling really run down. Will get back to taking pictures outside – the light is so much better!
source: http://www.suprememanagement.com/ This 5’10 Dutch beauty looks like she’s just walked in from the Icelandic landscape, with her bleached brows hanging low over those startling eyes and moody lips. She’s worked for the likes of Valentino, Chanel, Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton and Anna Sui, to name just a few – pretty impressive for a 16 year old that’s only been modelling a year. She’s certainly an unusual beauty but that’s what’s so great about her. Plus, Groeneveld’s face echoes of Lara Stone, and as no. 1 model in the world, that’s not a bad person to be compared to. It was so difficult to pick just a few pictures of her, I love so much of her work, and she’s been lucky to have worked with some very talented creatives. I just find these pictures really inspiring. |
