Being a bit of a science-fiction nerd, I love hearing about new fashion and beauty products that are pushing technological boundaries and revolutionising the way we wear clothes and cosmetics, so I was excited to find out more about Wrangler’s innovative Denim Spa collection when they invited me along to a press preview. I won’t go into the technology behind it (it’s some snazzy material science stuff involving micro-particles), but basically the Denim Spa range are jeans that moisturise your legs as you wear them. How cool is that?! Wrangler wanted to make wearing denim more pleasurable for women, and encourage us to get more use from their jeans by giving us a reason to wear jeans more often.

SS13 has three ‘flavours’ to choose from – Aloe Vera, which comes in a light denim wash (I’ve got a pair of these and wow do they smell good!), Olive Extract in a mid denim wash, and Smooth Legs, a cellulite busting formula in a dark denim wash. I love the idea behind these jeans, as often when I get dressed I steer clear of jeans because I’ve just had a shower and put on moisturiser, so I don’t want to feel all sticky. I have been wearing my Denim Spa jeans for a few days now and it’s amazing how sleek and soft my legs feel at the end of the day, and the fact that the jeans are so comfy is a huge bonus.

The jeans are priced at £85 a pair and are available on New Look from the 1st Feb (initial sales sold out on ASOS). Do you think you’ll try a pair? If you’ve already got some, how are you finding them? Let me know what you think in the comments below! x

Nasty Gal

There’s two things I look for in lookbooks and editorials – gorgeous photography and great styling. Nasty Gal hits these two factors every single time. I don’t usually share a lot of lookbooks as they’re available everywhere on the net, and I don’t want to just repost images, but these photos were so beautiful I had to share them with you all. With a dreamy, romantic feel that still has a bit of bite to it, their Valentines lookbook is a lush, white affair. I can’t say enough HOW MUCH Nasty Gal need to get their ass into gear and bring their amazing online shop to the UK – the postage and customs for shipping from the US is a killer, but with lookbooks like this, I can’t help myself! x

New Forest Winter Break

Renovated barn English country cottages

Callum and I went on a little trip at the beginning of the year to spend some time alone and have a good rest before starting work again. I booked this amazing renovated barn and we spent four days wandering around in the countryside, exploring forests and moors and open plains, having cosy nights snuggled in front of a log fire and watching films and far too many episodes of Homeland. I can’t recommend the New Forest enough – it’s just beautiful. There’s something so peaceful about looking round at the greenery surrounding you, realising that you can’t see any other people for miles and miles. Anyway, I’ll let you enjoy the gorgeous pictures Callum took. Apologies for wearing pretty much the same thing every day – warmth and comfort for long walking days was more important than looking fashionable! x

Snow really is so photogenic! I had so much fun posing for these photos at the weekend while the snow came down, and though my toes were freeeezing it was worth it for these beautiful shots! I wanted to try a monochrome look as not only is it one of this season’s hottest trends, but I also thought it’d look great set against all that white. Boohoo sent me this gorgeous beaded skirt (called the Natasha skirt! It was meant to be!) and I’ve actually been wearing it for evening looks, but when I teamed it with a faux leather jacket and tights for a more casual style here, I realised how good it looked as daywear too. I’m also excited to be showing off my new heels in these photos – these beauties were just £10 in the River Island sale! They had one pair left and luckily it was in my size – also meant to be, hey! The fashion gods must be on my side. I love love love these shoes so much, and I think they’ll take over from my Zara ankle-straps as the most worn heels on the blog. x

For the last few days here in the UK it’s been snowing, and whilst it is SO SO cold, it is also very pretty outside, and I couldn’t resist taking a walk to take in the gorgeous wintry landscape. I love the calmness snow brings, settling across the ground and turning everything soft and white. I’ve been wearing this amazing smiley jumper from Chicwish pretty much constantly since I got it – it arrived just in time for the cold weather, and it’s so cosy and cute! I’ve also been trying to introduce boyfriend jeans into my wardrobe. I’m still searching for a pair of distressed light denim ones, but for now I’m loving this smarter style from ASOS.

If you’ve had snow where you live – how have you been enjoying it? I know it’s a bit of a pain when you’re working, but luckily I’ve been at home most of the time these last couple of weeks to finish off my edits to send to my publisher, so it’s been lovely working beside a window to watch the snow flurries come down. x
