Nothing is fresher than layers of white this summer. For Love & Lemons
Just discovered this brand via Twitter and had to share their latest collection, Viva La Vida for Summer ’12, with you all. Model Valeria Efanova is insanely beautiful in these cool, bohemian outfits that effortlessly walk the line between tomboy and sexy, and I love the almost gothic vibe to the shoot. It’s kind of like virgin girl gone bad or something. Blogger Ashley Glorioso of Purse ‘n Boots did a beautiful job as stylist. Which is your favourite look? I’m loving that incredible red dress with the cut out detail and arm flares!

Fell in love with this Motel dress as soon as I saw it. It’s so short it could be slutty, but I think the elegant shape of the neck and the vivid print help it from going down that route. Plus, I styled it with almost gothic silver jewellery, a vintage triangle box bag, chunky denim heels and my boyfriend’s black jumper, which all helped tone down the outright sexiness of the dress. So excited about these Topshop heels – they were a steal for just £7 on eBay. I’ve been looking for more muted tones to go with lighter coloured summer outfits, and I think these will do just the trick. I’m also really happy to have dug out this beauty of a bag from my mum’s wardrobe. She’s got some awesome things hidden away in there, a lot of them vintage designer gear, so I’ll need to do more digging to see what I can find!

How incredible does Anna Selezneva look in Mango’s Summer ’12 catalogue? Her striking, pale blue eyes are beautiful against the desert backdrop and the stylist has done a great job on her hair and make up so it looks sexy and effortless. White seems to have exploded onto the fashion scene over the last few months, with all-white looks the epitome of summer chic. I love Mango’s play of textures Mango to give their white pieces definition and range, and the hints of ombre, earthy tones and harder, leather fabrics are just beautiful, keeping the whole thing from getting too girly. I’m usually wary of white, as it’s so easy to stain and I’m pretty rough and tumble in summer – grass stains, anyone? But all-white outfits are just too chic to ignore this summer, so I’m gonna have to try some soon. What about you? x

More Coachella envy here for you guys, but this time with a cause. All these photos are by H&M, who were at Coachella with their Kiss for a Cause scheme. Here’s how it works – even if you didn’t make it to Coachella, just tag your Instagram images with #KissforaCause and you’ll donate $1 to Fashion Against AIDS. Your image will also appear at H&M’s Instagram here. So get kissing people! Not only will it make you happy, it will go towards fighting AIDS. Like the TOMS sunglasses project I featured a few weeks back, I think it’s great when fashion uses its huge influence to give something back to the wider community, especially in the case of AIDS, where around 2 million people die a year from the disease. If you don’t have Instagram, you can also participate in Fashion Against AIDS but buying items from H&M’s special range – they’ll donate 25% of the purchase price to the disease’s prevention.
