I love this leather gillet – not often you see one in blush pink, and it’s rare that such a colour can look so cool, tough and modern. These Balenciaga buckle boots are also totally awesome. Obviously this list is really skewed by my own sense of style, but some of these items are great for guys of any age, like the Ted Baker belt (my dad would love this). I know the Lomo camera and Pac-Man wall decals aren’t exactly fashion items, they they are so cool I had to put them in the list! The Lomo camera is perfect for a boyfriend or friend who’s into photography, and as a Lomo fan myself, I can say they’re nifty little cameras that are a lot of fun for a break from SLRs. As for the Pac-Man wall decals, well, I’m a sucker for anything that references games, especially retro ones. I’m pretty excited for Christmas now as all my presents are bought, and it’s the last weekend before I head home and celebrate with the family 🙂 hope you’re all getting geared up for your Christmas holidays too!
source: Reiss Just the one item this week, as it’s a knockout. I’ve been searching for a blue faux fur jacket or coat ever since seeing one in the Topshop AW11 party collection. I love the ombre striped effect on this Reiss jacket, which is pretty standard but seems elevated with the coloured faux fur, almost neon. I think the blue would look amazing against black leather trousers and a low-neck white tank top. Not really sure how I’d feel about pairing it with more colourful offerings though. Even though colour blocking is pretty trendy right now, I think it might be a bit too much. Ps. Sorry for the late post, I was just so busy yesterday and forgot! jumper: Illustrated People, skirt: Topshop, coat: Zara, boots: Schuh, bag: French Connection, headband: Accessorize, scarf: French Connection A bit of a cute look here, as it was mine and Callum’s 7th anniversary, and if you can’t dress cutely on your anniversary then when can you? We went to Cheltenham for a night to celebrate, and driving there and back through all this lovely countryside was really nice, so we stopped off at a few places to take some pictures and soak up the green. I love this little Topshop skirt with love hearts on it. It’s really girly though so I always wear it with things like this military-style coat, boots, quilted bag, oversized jumper and heavy-duty scarf. We bought the panda headband in Cheltenham as I was looking for a headband to keep my ears warm and Callum seems to think anything panda-related looks cute on me! Of course it’s fashion and beauty focused, and really this ‘for her’ one is more of a ‘for me (dear boyfriend please see this list)’! But this is my pick of some great fashion and beauty presents that any girl is sure to love, whether it’s your blogger friend, best friend, female colleague, mum or even grandma. Hey, they’re stylish ladies too! If I had to pick my favourite item from all the above it would have to be the Rebecca Minkoff clutch, the most perfect little bag I’ve seen lately. Though it’s a bit on the pricey side, it’d be a worthwhile investment. For smaller budgets, I’d go for the gorgeous Skagen rose gold watch. That watch would literally go with anything, and it’d be lovely with an engraving for a more personal gift. |
