It was love at first sight. Who couldn’t be seduced by that beautiful berry colour, the intricate lacing, the delicate balance between girly and sexy? This outfit was chosen to show my support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which begins tomorrow (October). My Godma was affected by this so it’s an important issue for me. London girls everywhere arrived in Wonderland with the opening of the amazing Shoe Galleries at Selfridges last year, and they’re now one year old. I still haven’t been but now I’ve moved to London, the minute I get some time I’ll be going to check it out. There are over 5,000 pairs of shoes from 120 brands, including Tory Burch, Roger Vivier, Stuart Weitzman, Office, River Island and All Saints, so it’s not just designer gear. Fur waistcoat in the middle of the one week this year that is actually hot 😉 ! Anyway, this outfit is something that can take me from day to night, which is something I love as I’m often out all day and I don’t want to get chilly when it gets dark. This faux fur waistcoat is great as it’s warm but not too stuffy or hot, and I like having my arms unstifled by thick sleeves. As for the Urban Outfitters shoes, well they are killers! I definitely won’t be wearing them often, but I love securing the straps over leggings – a little trick to make your legs look longer, along with the massive heel of course! It gives some texture and detail to an otherwise plain outfit, and it’s such an easy look to wear. Above are some of my favourite statement neck looks. The designers are in order from top: Pilgrim, Tim Ryan, Nicole Fahri, We Are Owls. I now want to move on to try statement earrings, having seen some amazing ones on ASOS that the models are rocking, but I’m afraid my teeny ears won’t be able to cope with their weight!
