Good evening sweeties! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying the post-Xmas haze of leftovers, film marathons and chocolate for breakfast. I definitely am! It’s been so great spending time with mine and Callum’s families. We’re still in the midst of it all as his two super cute and super energetic cousins from Scotland are down for the next few days, so the festive celebrations aren’t over yet. We’ve got a panto to go to tomorrow and lots more family dinners coming up. My Christmas lunch energy reserves are just about keeping me going!

Of course, being a fashion blogger, the minute Christmas Day was over my thoughts turned to my New Year’s Eve outfit. You can’t go wrong with a pretty dress and some serious heels. I bagged these strappy beauties for just £10 from New Look recently, and they’re my new favourite party shoes. Comfort and total gorgeousness? Yes please! Callum and I are having a party at our new flat on NYE, with friends coming from all over the UK to stay, so it’s going to be a big one. I feel like 2013 deserves a big send off though. It’s been the most insanely busy but brilliant year, and while there’s been definite lows, so many things have happened that have made me feel utterly grateful and thankful for living the life I do. I’ll be doing a round up post for this year in a couple of days on New Year’s Eve, so check back if you’d like to recap 2013 with me 🙂 I’d love to hear all about your years too! x

Competition | Debenhams Womenwear Winter Challenge

Good morning ladies! Now if, like me, you’re suffering from an empty wallet after all that Christmas present shopping, I’ve got the perfect pick me up. I’ve teamed up with Debenhams to judge their new blogger competition – a style challenge extravaganza with £600 in vouchers up for grabs! What did I tell you? It’s the perfect winter treat. Read on to find out more …

DEBENHAMS WOMENSWEAR WINTER CHALLENGE

Debenhams Womenswear Winter Competition

jumper | leggings | boots | socks | earmuffs | necklace | nail polish | lip balm

TOTAL =  £190

Debenhams Winter Outfit Blogger Competition

dress | coat | heels | clutch | earrings | eye shadow

TOTAL = £224.99

As a little seeing-in-the-new-year treat, Debenhams are asking fashion bloggers to come up with two outfits to create the ultimate winter wardrobe. While it’s just super fun styling up your looks, there are three great prizes on offer for your efforts. One overall winner will receive a whopping £500 in Debenhams vouchers to treat themselves to a cheeky splurge – think of all the goodies you could get for your wardrobe! – and two runners up will also win a £50 voucher each. I’ve created two looks of my own as a little inspiration. Unfortunately, as one of the judges I can’t actually enter the competition (sob), but I do get to have fun looking through all your gorgeous looks with your other judge, the lovely Victoria from VIPXO. We can’t wait to see what you all come up with!

How to enter

– Put together two outfits that cost no more than £250 each using products from the Debenhams website. One for a cosy ‘winter warming’ look, the other your perfect party outfit

– Write a blog post featuring the outfits and explaining your choices. Be sure to list the pieces and the total cost of your looks

– Come back here and write a comment on this post to say you’ve entered with a link to your post

– Entries must be received by 13th January

– The winners will be picked by me and Victoria. Judges’ decision is final!

– For more details, visit the competition page here on Debenhams’ website

Good luck sweeties 🙂 x

Outfit | Maroon Leather Leggings and Hollister Hoodie

Rainy day outfit

PURPLE RAIN

shirt: Forever 21 | hoodie: c/o Hollister | leggings: c/o Chicwish | trainers: Topshop | bag: c/o New Look

We had a few outfits to shoot this weekend, but Mother Nature had other ideas! It was rainy so heavy on Sunday we had to run out to snap these shots super quick while there was a little break in the downpour. It was one of those days you just want to feel warm and snuggly, and nothing else quite does the job as good as a fleece-lined hoodie. Hollister and Gilly Hicks are unbeatable when it comes to super cosy hoodies. I never want to take mine off!

Sorry this is a pretty simple outfit but let’s be honest, this is how fashion bloggers dress most of the time! Or at least, this one does. I’m all about comfort and simplicity. I really do need to find some new hairstyles to try though. As you’ll know if you’re a regular follower of the blog, I’ve either got my hair down in its messy natural state, or I stick it up in a high pony like here – and you’re probably fed up of both styles! I have it in this pony so often I’m thinking about getting some ear piercings so I can wear a bit of body jewellery from Fresh Trends to add something more to this super simple look. I’ve always wanted a tragus piercing, but I’m a little scared! Have any of you girls had one done?

Hope you are all having a great week so far! I’ve been busy getting everything ready for Christmas and starting the edits for my second novel, The Memory Keepers. It’s going to keep me super busy over the holidays! Thanks again to those of you who’ve bought and read my first book, The Elites. It means so much. I can’t believe I’m finishing the year having had a book published – and starting the new one with another on the way. Crazy! x
